CBSE opens Class 12 re-evaluation portal after delay, applications accepted till June 6: Direct link

CBSE has activated its online portal for students to apply for verification of issues in scanned answer books and for re-evaluation of answers. The facility, available from June 2, 2026, to June 6, 2026, is open only to candidates who have accessed scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets. Applications must be submitted online with Aadhaar-based login and fee payment. Students can request correction of issues or re-evaluation of selected answers within the prescribed limits.

The Jharkhand Academic Council has confirmed that June 2, 2026, is the final date to apply for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2026 following an extension of the registration window. JEE Advanced results 2026 announced at jeeadv.ac.in; Shubham Kumar secures AIR 1 with 330 marks

The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee has declared the JEE Advanced 2026 results and released the final answer key for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Shubham Kumar secured AIR 1 with 330 marks out of 360, followed by Kabir Chhillar with 329 marks and Jatin Chahar with 319 marks. Of the 179,694 candidates who appeared for the examination, 56,880 qualified, including 10,107 female candidates. Results are available on the official website.

From academia to animal welfare: How Assam’s Prapti Foundation emerged as a force against dog trafficking and cruelty

The Prapti Foundation, led by Sarupathar College principal Prapti Thakur, has emerged as a prominent grassroots animal welfare organisation in Assam. Based in Golaghat district, it has rescued and supported more than 1,500 animals through medical care, rehabilitation, feeding drives and awareness campaigns. Its shelter, Sarameya Kutir in Rangajan, has rehabilitated 163 rescued dogs. The foundation also works closely with authorities to combat animal cruelty and illegal dog trafficking across the region.
