MDU's library halls boon for rural women students

The reading halls at Maharishi Dayanand University in Rohtak have become a popular spot for students, especially female students from rural areas who lack access to such spaces elsewhere. Equipped with internet connectivity, these halls have a capacity of nearly 2500 students who are seen studying around the clock. With free access to both offline and online books, these halls have become a godsend for students who lack a conducive study environment at home or cannot afford private libraries. 65% of the students who use these facilities are girls from rural areas.
