Karnataka cancels SSLC and PUC supplementary exams, introduces 3-yearly exam system

Karnataka is implementing a significant educational reform by discontinuing the SSLC and PUC Supplementary Examinations from the academic year 2023–2024. Instead, students will undergo three annual tests to reduce exam-related stress. They will have the advantage of retaining their highest scores among the three assessments. The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will oversee the tests and ensure uniformity in content and difficulty. Students can also choose the subject with the highest score. Additionally, bridge courses will assist students transitioning to higher education after the first month of enrollment.
