IIT Kanpur to mentor Indian Institute of Skills in ambitious 5-year partnership

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) to mentor IIS for the next five years. The collaboration aims to empower and prepare local youth for the aerospace and defense sector, particularly to support the Defense Industrial Corridor in Uttar Pradesh. IIT Kanpur will be involved in developing the laboratory infrastructure at IIS Kanpur, creating suitable course curriculum, offering joint certificate and diploma courses, and establishing a Center for Deep-Skill Training and Research.
