Ireland emerges as top destination for Indian students seeking global education

The Consul General of Ireland, Anita Kelly, highlighted a significant rise in Indian students choosing Ireland for higher education, with numbers surging from 800 in 2013 to approximately 7,000 in 2022. Notably, universities witnessed a heightened influx of student applications following an MoU signing for dual degrees. Quoting Ambassador Kevin Kelly, experts project Indian student numbers nearing 10,000, predominantly pursuing postgraduate studies, reflecting a growing trend away from Canada and Australia due to visa constraints.
