The 2024 summer vacation schedule for West Bengal schools has been released, with adjustments made to accommodate the Lok Sabha elections. Schools will close for an extended period across various districts, totaling a 12-day extension. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has aligned the school holiday calendar with the seven-phase electoral process. Primary schools in certain districts will be closed from April 16-20 and April 24-27, while secondary schools will enjoy a 22-day vacation from May 6 to June 2.
