The National Consumer Helpline (NCH) facilitated Rs 1 crore in refunds for students enrolled in coaching centers for competitive exams like UPSC and IIT entrance. Following numerous complaints from students, the Consumer Affairs Ministry intervened, leading to the refunds being processed at the pre-litigation stage. This action addressed grievances raised nationwide against the coaching institutes.
