CBSE to have 2 Class X boards a year from 2026, first phase to be compulsory

The CBSE will introduce a twice-a-year board exam system for Class 10 students starting in 2026, aiming to reduce stress and enhance flexibility. Students can take an optional second exam in May to improve scores in up to three subjects, with the best score retained.
