NCW seeks strict POSH compliance; UGC tells colleges to submit reports and step up training

The National Commission for Women has called for stricter enforcement of the POSH Act in Higher Educational Institutions, urging stronger redressal systems and comprehensive training. Following the directive, the UGC has asked HEIs to submit updated compliance reports and take part in NCW’s Campus Calling Programme, which includes 800 nationwide sessions on legal literacy, safety, and gender sensitisation.
