CBSE warns schools over non-compliance in Class 6 third language rollout, sets May 31 deadline for mandatory update

The Central Board of Secondary Education has directed schools to fast-track the rollout of the third language in Class VI, flagging delays and incorrect submissions. Institutions must update or correct entries on the OASIS portal by May 31, 2026. Textbooks will be released by July 1, with schools required to begin teaching at least two Indian languages under the new framework.
