UPSC brings unprecedented reform to Civil Services prelims 2026 with new candidate access rules

UPSC has announced a major change to the Civil Services Preliminary Examination process by deciding to release the provisional answer key immediately after the exam concludes. Candidates will also be allowed to raise objections through an online portal within a fixed deadline. The Commission has introduced additional measures for CSE 2026, including AI-based face authentication, revised rules for serving officers, preferred centres for candidates with disabilities, and stricter examination guidelines aimed at improving transparency and examination security.
