Mumbai schools reopen on July 8 as IMD downgrades weather alert; no fresh holiday announced by BMC

Mumbai schools are set to reopen on July 8 as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has not announced any fresh holiday following two days of rain-related closures. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has downgraded Mumbai's weather warning from an Orange Alert to a Yellow Alert, signalling improved conditions. While authorities continue to monitor the monsoon situation, schools, colleges and offices are expected to function normally. Residents have been advised to follow only official updates.
